AC13 Debtor account is a consumer account (For SDD B2B collections only)
Occurs when?
The SEPA B2B direct debit was offered for a payment account of which the debtor-account holder is a consumer or of which the type is only destined for consumers.
Possible root cause
The debtor (consumer) did not know that signing a B2B mandate is reserved for non-consumers. The payment account type does not allow / does not support SDD B2B direct debits. The debtor provided information about an incorrect payment account. The bank did not explain to the debtor that they have activated an account that does not support B2B. This occasionally occurs with self-employed persons in a secondary occupation or with self-employed persons without personnel in a secondary occupation.
What can you do?
Contact the debtor for clarification and to agree on a different payment method. Close a CORE SEPA direct debit mandate with the debtor.
