The challenge: low margins, high admin
For over 40 years, XLG has brought together more than 30 service activities for companies and individuals, ranging from industrial maintenance and construction to facility management and domestic services. The group employs more than 5,500 people across Belgium, France and Luxembourg.
In domestic services in particular, margins are tight and every administrative efficiency makes a difference. By 2022, XLG realised that manual payments, late invoices and endless follow-up were eating into both time and resources.
The solution: seamless recurring payments with Twikey
To turn things around, XLG partnered with Twikey. By integrating directly with XLG’s existing accounting software, Twikey made the entire invoice-to-collection process seamless.
Customers could now switch effortlessly from one-off or manually recurring payments to e-mandates, while new contracts offered the same choice by default. Twikey’s failure management feature took care of rejected transactions automatically, eliminating yet another administrative burden.

Adapting to change: tackling the service voucher price hike
But payments don’t stand still. In Belgium, consumers can use tax-refundable service vouchers to hire domestic help. When the government announced a 2025 price increase for these vouchers (on top of existing invoices in some cases) XLG faced a new wave of potential admin complexity.
Rather than pass the pain on to customers, XLG once again turned to Twikey. By converting even more customers to automated payflows and consolidating everything into a single monthly invoice, XLG kept the process simple and predictable.
